Dinner wedding- can we do first dance?

Hi there! I am here because another wedding forum completely upset me and left me feeling insecure about such a special day! I am hoping to find better support here. This is a 2nd wedding for me, 1st for my fiance. He is from Germany, customs there are different and much smaller affairs. Were both in our mid 30's. It will be small, <50 people. However, we sitll want to make it fun and magical- since his immediate family are coming from overseas, and we are incredibly excited to share the joy! The pieces are all coming together, the venue is gorgeous and we are keeping it simple in a large dining room, with a piano/ musician area, sweetheart table, and round tables. There is no space for a actual dance floor. So- we have decided since we want a 1st dance, we always love watching them, and there is only 1 afterall, we would like to do one. I just want to make sure our guests done think its rude. I took a quick consensus from some guests, they promise me that we definitely should dance!
