Will there be different Religious groups at your wedding? Why or why not?

How will your religious views be reflected in your ceremony?

We're having a civil ceremony, done by a friend, who will incorporate a lot of things.

We had originally planned a Catholic ceremony, but the priest said no (there are several threads I started about this), and, while that threw a wrench in our planning, it's for the best. While my extended family is Christian, I was not even baptized, so religious ceremonies are .. not something I am used to.

An old farmhouse that’s been converted into a wedding venue! We will have our ceremony and reception indoors, in a pavilion that we will open the sides of, weather permitting

Yes, my best friend is Mormon. I'm Christian and I have a few friends who are Muslim, also an uncle and Aunt who are Jewish. Religion has never been an issue for my family and I.

I’m Christian and my husband is Jewish! So our respective sides were very different.

We got married outside at a vineyard and had Christian and Jewish aspects. My husband stepped on the glass and we signed an interfaith ketubah.

I think it's beautiful how you were able to represent both of your religious views.

Yep, I grew up Jewish, my dads side of the family are Presbyterian, FH grew up Church of Christ, but is basically agnostic now. We decided to do a non religious ceremony so as to not step on toes (which is of course stepping on toes with extended family anyway).

I think the majority are Christian or agnostic, but FH and I are strong Christians as is most of our family/wedding party. I think there are 2 who aren’t?

My family are almost entirely Christian, and my fiancé's family are half Muslims and half staunch atheists, so a dramatic mix if not a diverse one! But we're having a humanist ceremony so nobody should feel left out or offended!

It must be awesome to have the majority of your wedding guests share the same views.

Excuse my ignorance, but would you share more about a humanist ceremony?

Yes. My FH and I are Pagan. But the rest of the people will either be atheist or Catholic.

I have very little knowledge about religions other than Christianity, Muslim, Catholic, and Atheist. Can you explain what it means to be Pagan?

FYI OP, of the guests you mentioned only your Muslim friend isn't a Christian. Catholicism and Jehovah's Witnesses are both Christian sects.
