Did you send RSVP to family and bridal party?

JuleeM, on May 22, 2015 at 9:48 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

So silly question. Did you all send postage paid RSVP cards to your immediate family and bridal party? I have no problem doing so I'm just curious if everyone does and do you expect them to mail them back.

Yes I sent them. My mom's was also the first back

My MOH decided to not RSVP and another BM just took it upon herself to fill in her response on my master list (her husband is a GM as well).

Yes we sent them to all close family and bridal party... Mostly for the fact we need to know what they would like for their entree and having them already fill out the RSVP card will help in the long run as it will already be written down. They told me I didn't have to mail them but I was excited and did.. I told them all I expect them to be mailed back as well (pre-stamped)

Haha um yup, same as Kaylarae, my parents wanted to keep them which I told her I had extras but there was a lot of wasted postage. Tomorrow is my due date and I am missing about 40% of replies. People have started emailing me their RSVP, which is great that they are getting back to me one way or another, but wasted postage.

Yes, we sent them to everyone who was invited! Etiquette states that it is supposed to be that way, so we did! =)

I did, because I thought it would be a good keepsake on both sides. Also, because who doesn't love getting good mail?

My FMIL keeps saying how cute and awesome it is that we sent her one.

We are also providing blank invitations to our parents, because ours are seal and sends, with the removable RSVP card, and we thought they'd like them.

We sent out STDs to 58 people. It's a DW. 17 people have already booked their travel. We're still gonna send them RSVPs. I don't care if I get them back. It just seems like the thing to do.

I hand delivered invites to my parents and his parents and siblings, no stamped rsvp. I didn't figure they'd send them back anyways. Everyone else, including bridal party, got an invite in the mail with a stamped rsvp for return. It was just easier to treat them all the same when putting them together. I'm not worrying about 49 cent stamps. Of course I also only had about 60 invitations go out total, so.

I did. And I got jokey fake decline RSVPs back from a portion of them. I think my mom's RSVP is still kicking around the house somewhere. She really loved getting the invitation though.

Yes. One so that they would feel included. Two so I would know if they're bringing a guest lol

Yes. Every one gets a invite and needs to rsvp. Just makes it easier to count a total of people together.

Yes, we sent them to everybody. My mom and my sister both asked if they could not send their RSVPs back. I kind of like getting the RSPVs in the mail so I told my mom I could give her another so she could have a whole set to which she responded "I already have a full set." I think it's kind of cute.

We did, but mostly because I wanted to keep them when they sent them back.

I'm sending them yes. I would like for them to mail them back or RSVP online. Do I expect my crazy family to mail them back or RSVP online HELL NO.

We did, because we didn't know if the BM's and GM's wifes/husbands/partners would attend, and for our parents and siblings it had sentimental value Smiley smile none of our parents/siblings RSVP'd though.

I'm giggling at Maltese's MOH deciding not to RSVP (that's Kimberly, right?). We hand delivered ours to our parents and told them they didn't need to respond, but mailed them to the bridal party. We got all those back except one.
