Last question!! Throughout the entire wedding planning process - have you ever said *or thought* "man I wish we were eloping instead"? Are you innocent or guilty? Thanks for playing!! If you missed some of the earlier questions, click here to see them all: Are you innocent or guilty?

At this point in time, yes I do. My FMIL is a passive aggressive a-hole and is making this whole process frustrating.

Yes I wish we had eloped. We are having a small destination wedding in Cyrpus which was always my Plan (I never wanted a big wedding) but it’s already bigger than I wanted (31 instead of 20) and FH has invited some family friends (who I really don’t want there) without asking me first. But now it’s too late they have booked their flights. Half the point of going abroad was to not have to innvite people i don’t want there just out of obligation!! I am also basically having to hand hold / plan lots of guests accommodation etc (they say as we went to visit Cyprus for a few days when we booked the venue that we must know our way around and should help people book their trips). Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful they are coming but i seem to be getting everything dumped on me. It’s a cheap wedding compared to a wedding in England but the cost is up to about £8k not including dress - It is just such an absurd waste of money, we could have used it towards a house deposit. I wish we had just eloped and hired a fantastic photographer to capture the day then had a party afterwards. Even my small wedding is causing me stress so I feel so much sympathy for the ladies planning big weddings. I still wish we could just elope but deposit is paid, family have book their flights already. It’s too late. Maybe I will cheer up some time soon. I should have just planned elopement from the start. I never dreamed of my wedding as a child and a big day etc - I just want to marry my FH he means everything to me. Why do we have to put on a stupid show?? I worry I will hate all the attention - I don’t like all the focus on me, I am dreading our first dance (we can’t dance) and I worry about all the family menbers forced in one space they are so different. I wish we had eloped and it wasn’t too late!! Weddings are stupid, all this stress
for one day and such a waste öf money!!

Innocent! FH and I both want a traditional wedding with all of our loved ones, eloping hasn't really crossed our mind.

My wedding guest list is so small already, that I don't really care that we aren't technically eloping.

Yes, it would a lot less money and stress. But then I know I might regret it later on, plus I think of all the family that would we would miss spending the day with.

To be honest, my husband and I eloped in Las Vegas this past summer and are now planning a vow renewal in July 2019. I was thinking about how I wish we had waited weeks after we eloped, but the more I live married life the happier I am that we get to have both the intimacy of eloping and the big ceremony/reception. The only thing I regret is that our parents and siblings weren't there to witness it.

Definitely! Originally we wanted to do a DW in Dominican Republic but my grandmother and aunt aren't able to travel so that was out.

No. I had a dinky wedding my first time, I was happy that day, but it was nothing I had wanted or envisioned since I was young. I"m looking forward to my wedding

I eloped the first time. This time around, I thought about doing a destination elopement but then it got complicated going over it with my fiance BUT we're still keeping it somewhat small with 50 people and I'm kind of over it. I'm starting to have the elopement thoughts again but at the same time I want to have that "real wedding" feeling with friends and family.
