Did anyone meet their fiance(e) at a wedding?

The vows, the songs, the tears, the speeches... it's hard to not get swept away by romantic feelings when attending a wedding! Smiley heart

Have any of you had a romantic encounter at a wedding? Did you meet your future spouse at a wedding? Or were there any love connections at your wedding? Share your stories!!

Not me, but I would love if a successful couple came out of our wedding! (we have a few people we'd love to play matchmaker with)

Not really, but I associate it with my friends' wedding! So I was talking to this guy for a week or 2 from an online dating site, and we had planned to meet the day after the wedding (on the way home after a 5 hour drive home lol I was eager and had a very good feeling about this one!). I remember texting him throughout the wedding and later that night after I left the wedding to finalize our first meeting plans. That guy is now FH, so I guess it worked out haha (It also ensures I don't forget my friend's anniversary!). I actually caught the bouquet at her wedding too.

I dated a guy briefly that I met at a wedding, but this Saturday we have arranged a double date with one of H's GMs and one of his friends from work who hit it off at our wedding. He's really hoping they work out so they can say the story that they met at our wedding, but I told him to not put so much pressure on them and we will see what happens! Smiley winking

I had a brief love connection with a guy I met at a wedding. It ended as fast as it started though. But it was "magical."

We technically met at the wedding rehearsal, but yes. FW was my brother’s bestman, they were stationed in Texas together. My brother introduced us at the rehearsal and we hit it off instantly. We spent the whole wedding weekend together and now we’re getting married!

My fiancé and I met at my best friends wedding! In my maid of honor speech I talked about how the groom treated my friend so well and I halfway jokingly asked if he had any brothers, cousins or friends that are just as nice as he is. My now fiancé took me up on that and introduced himself to me after my speech and the rest is history. Now we’re getting married next month and our friends whose wedding we met at are our matron of honor and best man!

We didn't meet at a wedding, but my sister got married when we had only been dating less than 3 months, so he got the pleasure of meeting allllll of my family pretty early on!

I met my fiance at my cousin's wedding. He is from the UK and came to California for the first time to attend the wedding since he has known my cousin's husband for 15 years. Sparks flew and we went on our 2 first dates before he left . He said "when something great comes along you hold on to it with both hands." 2 years later, a proposal, and and many trips back and forth between the US and UK, we are getting married in 5 months and he will be moving to California by July. 😊

My FH was the Best Man at my sister's wedding. I was a Bridesmaid. We starting dating in March, her wedding was in August. Then he proposed to me 4th of July weekend. I started to feel like he was up to something, so I snooped. I uncovered that he had bought me ring that April and just couldn't figure out how to propose. He said every time he seen me he got anxious & just wanted to just tell me. Which was what he did. He spilled all of the bean. So we planned an engagement moment. Still to this day he's one of the most honest man I know. I hope it stays that way.

I didn't, but one of my BFFs did, at our other BFF's wedding! she got to talking with one of the bride's old childhood friends and they ended up sitting together all night. they've been together ever since, nearly 10 years now. they're engaged but not super interested in actually getting married, and have a super adorable 4 year old daughter. Smiley smile
