Did anyone here go through a K1-Visa process while planning their wedding?

Did anyone here go through a K1-Visa process while planning their wedding?

If so how long did it take till the I do date?

Did you have any issues planning your honeymoon I.E. Destination weddings and red tape?

We are trying to have ours in St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, which I would believe that we are allowed to do so as long as their are no international stops or different countries etc.

The only people I know who did that were not planning a wedding or honeymoon outside of the US. However, my general understanding is that the timing is totally unpredictable. And of course, once the visa comes through, the wedding has to happen within 90 days. For that reason, most people in your situation have to have relatively small weddings, so that the wedding can all be planned and take place within the 90-day period. Only you know whether you could put a destination wedding together in that amount of time.

Yes he has a passport and he does visit he's coming down in May to "officially propose" infront of my grandparents on their anniversary WITH MY RING! EEP! Smiley laugh I'm so excited!! But yes, there's a lot of stress involved thank god for my mother's lawers friends. I am mainly just trying to get everything done like the dress, veil, bouquet, and his attire plus any goodyies we wanna bring with us untill we can actually plan for the 90days to marry in. I am going in this Thursday with a notepad full of questions for an immigration officer to answer wether or not we will be allowed to go to the USVI and come back without any issues etc. Plus we both have fulltime jobs but then I also have a part time job and I am a full time Nursing student as well. It's hectic. :/
