I bought my dress last weekend and I absolutely loved it! The consultant asked me if i wanted to buy it in White, Ivory or Champagne. The sample was ivory so i said ivory. However, after looking at the pic over & over again the next day day or two, i started to regret the color i ordered bc the dress looked more of a yellow in pics than Ivory/off whiteish color. Smiley sad I now wanted white instead of ivory. FH is wearing white also, so i want to match him. I freaked out so bad. but i called the boutique today and asked if it was too late and the manager said its fine and glad i called so soon. They were able to change my order from ivory to white. It will take an extra 2 weeks but I dont care. There wasnt any extra fee and i get the color I want! Did anyone else have a hard time deciding what color to buy?

I had dress regret. Not color regret. I still think about the other dress all the time

Yes! I had regret less than 24 hours after I chose it. Not the color, but the dress itself. I said YES! to THE ONE a week later.

I tried on the ivory dress and it looked white to me. But I ordered the white because well it's white. I was a little worried at first that the beading didn't blend in as well with the white as it did with the ivory, but I got over it

I am starting to have regrets now.. I will have been engaged for nearly 3 years before we get married (next August). I've been with him since high school and I was so excited to finally start planning that I went dress shopping two and a half years out.. "for the experience and fun of it". I fell in love with a dress and after a follow up appointment, my mom offered to buy it for me. I LOVE the dress (every time I look at it it practically brings tears to my eyes) but at the time that I bought it, we were planning a fall wedding at a more vintage location.. well that place didn't work out and now I'm having a late summer wedding at a more modern location. I read reviews on my dress that said that alterations are a nightmare because of the elaborate beading which has me nervous. Then I started thinking I'm going to regret not going with a white dress (it's an ivory fit and flare with gold/champagne beading and embellishments). The dress is truly beautiful but I'm wondering if I should look for something else. I just don't want to hurt my mom's feelings since she paid for it, or have her get mad at me?

Sorry that was so long. I just needed to express what I've been having anxiety about and I found the right forum to do it on! haha

Luckily not for color, FH and I both agreed we pictured a bright white dress - every once in a while I wonder when I see some of the sleeker/more fitting styles, but then I remember that every time I've put MY (large ballgown) dress on it has given me the exact feeling I wanted in a wedding gown.

I knew i wanted ivory so my issue was not the color but the dress itself. Altough i loved it, i felt like i should have searched and tried more on(it was the 7th dress i tried on). All that went away after i had my first fitting, tried it on and fell in love with it even more. Im glad you could switch it for the color you wanted Smiley smile
