Did anyone else have dress regret?

I bought my dress last weekend and I absolutely loved it! The consultant asked me if i wanted to buy it in White, Ivory or Champagne. The sample was ivory so i said ivory. However, after looking at the pic over & over again the next day day or two, i started to regret the color i ordered bc the dress looked more of a yellow in pics than Ivory/off whiteish color. Smiley sad I now wanted white instead of ivory. FH is wearing white also, so i want to match him. I freaked out so bad. but i called the boutique today and asked if it was too late and the manager said its fine and glad i called so soon. They were able to change my order from ivory to white. It will take an extra 2 weeks but I dont care. There wasnt any extra fee and i get the color I want! Did anyone else have a hard time deciding what color to buy?

Don't even get me started... i bought so many dresses and spent so much money. now I'm just having my dress made and i am so happy.. i always knew what i wanted , but couldn't find it so i kept trying to "make it work" but It just wasn't working... i ended up with multiple dresses that i am in the process of selling... I also donated 2 to Brides against breast cancer and 1 to the bridal garden. ( money goes to a charter school in brooklyn) and on top of that davids bridal called me yesterday to tell me the dress i ordered 16 weeks ago is in... i totally forgot all about it.. and can't return it.. so for sale it goes.. another 1000.00 for that one...

No dress regret here. I LOVE my dress. I didn't have a choice of colour though, it only came in ivory, which is fine with me.

At no point have I had even the slightest doubt about the dress I picked.

Color was easy, but I did end up buying a new dress a month before the wedding.

No I love my dress and have no regret. My dres is ivory/oyster. Helps the lace on the bodice pop more. It's close to white but this type of dress looks better in this ivory/oyster therefore the designer only makes it in that color.

I'm scared I'm going to but I haven't seen it yet. I bought the dress without trying it on. I tried on similar dresses but couldn't find the one dress I had stuck in a sample anywhere in the damn country. So I went out on a limb and purchased it in ivory. I got a really good deal and the shop said they would give me credit towards a new dress if I didn't like it. I really hope I love it as much as I thought I would.

I have no regrets. My dress was the ONE! It is very similar to a Maggie dress I couldn't afford. I thought I wanted white but ivory suited me better! I tried it on the other day because I wanted to wear it again....I can't wait for my wedding....I'll be trying it on again before I go for my alterations. I want to make sure I am not getting fat!

Oh good god you don't know the half of it.

My dress is being made by me and a runway designer and long story short I'm a little OCD and I have problems with anxiety. ocupational hazzard I guess, but that's another story.

I've designed more clothes and gowns than I can count, but when it comes to my own gown for my own wedding???

trying to make a decision with those combinations, add on the fact that you can have pretty much anything you want = seemingly mission impossible!

I finally settled on the base of the design (as in silhouette and cut) then had my first official dress meeting with my designer friend on Sunday.

he had to tell me about 5 times to take deep breath, held my had through a panic attack and I decided whether to have a seam in front of the dress, and he had to be the one to cut the fabric for the bodice since I just about passed out feeling the seemingly point of no return.

had a massive migraine all the next day.

heck, I'm starting to think that having to re order due to dress regret would be easy! lol

in the end I'm thrilled with my decision, and I know that I can make changes if I really wish.

in the meantime I'll just meditate a lot.

Just ordered #2. Fingers crossed it's the right one. #1 is still awesome, but I wanted just a little extra something that wasn't there.

I actually did. I only tried one dress on and that was the one I picked, I knew at the moment it was The One. Then, I started regretting it since my wedding is still far away I felt like I should have try on more. I went back to the store did not like anything and kept my dress at that moment I knew I made the right choice.

Not picking the color, but picking the dress took some time Smiley smile. I was trying on all ivory dresses without realizing it and then when I put a white one on it was wayyyyy too white and it looked bad with my skin tone. So the dress I ordered is in ivory and it pretty much looks white!

I think I limited myself to the designs I was willing to look at and try on. I love my dress, but I didn't even stray from the illusion neckline or something that would cover my chest. I underwent open heart surgery two years ago for a congenital heart defect, and I am very self conscious about my scar. That, and my mother told me she would probably cry if she had to look at my scar while I was walking down the isle. I probably would have ended up with something covering it anyway, but I didn't even look at anything else and I do regret that.

I always knew I wanted a lace dress and not strapless. I also knew I didn't want white. Yes, White seems to be the color that makes you feel like a bride-- but either way I'm the bride hahaa. It's funny tho, I like white everything-- it's classy to me. But with my skin color, my ivory dress will compliment me the best and white really stood out on my skin-- I didn't want that. We're also doing a rustic elegance theme and I think my ivory dress is perfect for it. I also have a amaretto slip that looks like my skin color to make the lace design stand out more. I had also heard about dress regrets and I didn't want that, I can't afford that and even if my mom was buying the dress-- I wouldn't want to waste her money lol. So I tried on my dress-- left the store, a few weeks later found it at another shop along with other dresses and still loved it-- I tried on LOTS of dresses, I even confused myself at one point by trying on ball gown dresses-- but my dress as still on my mind. The dress I got is the ONE-- the only one that made me feel incredible and I remembering thinking when I first put it on "Ryan will love this dress-- I can marry him in this dress". NO other dress made me feel that way. I actually tried it on again when I was looking for veils last weekend (my actual dress is in order) and I kept smiling because even though it wasn't my size-- I was giddy that it was my dress to be!

I have regret, I ordered online by selecting it through pics and the color which I chose was mix of blue and magenta it was looking nice and I ordered that but yesterday when I opened my package What I saw they send dress with red&blue color instead of blue&magenta. Now, i ask them to change it but they ask shipping charges.......but you are lucky as your re-shipping is free........
