I got my dress from DHGate and so did my coworker. My dress was 125 and the alterations were 200. I saved $1300!

It depends on the maker. If you're going to do it, just do it early enough to get something else.

One of my bridesmaids had a horrible experience with them. I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

I ordered my maid of honor dress from there and it WAAS THE WORST DRESS I HAD EVER SEEN, ALSO THEY COLORS ARE DIFFERENT. I WANTED A GOLD DRESS THEY SENT A MUSTARD GOLD DRESS AND IT WAS HORRIBLY MADE. IF I WAS HOME WOULD POST THE PIC OF IT.. .I DID GET A REFUND FOR THE DRESS BUT IT TOOK SOME TIME GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM ABOUT THE DRESS. SO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. SOME FOLKS HAVE GOOD TURN OUTS AND SOME GET A HORRIBLE DRESS MADE.. ALSO THE DRESS LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE OUTSIDE OF THE COLOR.

Does Davids bridal sell in any of your local salons? Found a dress I loved at Alfred Angelo but service was horrible. Turns out a bridal shop an hour away sells same dress...$600 cheaper!
