Destination Wedding Hair & Makeup

Amira, on June 4, 2015 at 10:51 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

Hello! Having a destination wedding in 2016 and I am VERY concerned with hair and makeup. Does anyone know of any destination wedding hair & makeup services where they fly to your wedding? I am looking for someone locally who I can hire to come out to my wedding and do hair and makeup so I can get trials done here. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated Smiley smile

In most cases, if you don't want to use the hair/makeup services at the resort salon (using a travel agent will help you pick a resort with great servcies), you can bring your own hair/makeup artist. However, some resorts will consider this an "outside" vendor and will charge you a fee. Other resorts have the fee, but will waive it if the hair/mua stays 3 nights.

In almost every case, the hair/mua will not pay for their travel. You'll have to foot the bill for the plane ticket, the 3-night hotel stay, and you'll still have to pay for their services.

Many of the quality resorts have amazing hair/makeup services. If this is something important to you, just make sure to tell your TA. Unfortunately, you won't get much of a trial before getting down there, so you sort of have to put your trust in the resort team - you can ask for examples of their work.

Hi Amira, I travel, too. As Mina stated above, you might have options at the destination.

My first questions would be where are you located and where is the wedding taking place?

Are you getting married at a resort? My resort has a salon on-site. Maybe yours does, too?
