Destination Wedding Booking Help!

I have a bit of a touchy subject and long post. So my TA’s husband died recently (super sad and unexpected). She emailed me to let me know and that she would be taking a leave of absence but that she would have someone step into help. My cousin wanted to make a payment towards her room so she emailed the temp TA and she responded right away asking for her contact info, good, right? My cousin texts me a few days later and said the woman never called her. I email asking the temp TA if she had reached out to my cousin, no response. So my dilema is that my invites are supposed to go out within the next week, what would you do regarding people who haven’t already booked that need to with an unresponsive TA?

    I get your TA took a leave of absence but I would see if you could get a refund and book with a new travel agent.

    What I found out after the fact is that once a contract has been signed between the resort and TA, you are stuck with them. My TA has been horrible and I reached out to the resort to deal with them directly and was basically told I had to go through my TA. As far as payments that should be able to be paid directly with resort. That's one thing I could do without my TA, or you should be able to make it online through their website or app. After this I will no longer be using a TA.

    Ugh, she processes they payments on her end. As you mentioned, everything goes through her. I hate being in this situation
