dessert bar Help!!!! & is alcohol a Need?

Decide on what desserts you want and then depending on that you can ask your caterer for an estimate. If they are smaller desserts, I would say 2-3 per person.

It's up to you to not have alcohol. I think beer and wine is a good halfway point. You could also decide to have a cash bar but let people know ahead of time so they have cash if they want to partake.

If you're having the dessert bar catered, your caterer would be the best person to ask for the numbers of how much. My FH and I are doing a dessert bar as well, but we are making everything ourselves for it. I'm using this tool to estimate how many cookies we need. We're also doing other things well on our dessert bar but I'm basing the estimates off of this calculator.

As far as alcohol goes, we're doing a full open bar for our wedding. We are also supplying the alcohol ourselves. We are doing our alcohol through Total Wine b/c they give discounts when you buy in bulk. Any unopened bottles are able to be returned after the wedding.

We are only purchasing a few bottles of 4 types of alcohol, those needed for the signature drinks we are having, soda, juice, water, and wine.

Talk to caterer about dessert options.
Alcohol is never required. You can limit it to a couple signature drinks (one he likes and one you like).
