Has he tried the breathe right strips? I've heard they're pretty good. Also, snoring that's not normal is a sign of stress, or can be a sign of sleep apnea or something else, IDR offhand.

I heard breathe right strips can help a ton.

I don't think that's fair to make him sleep in another room instead of his own bed for something he cannot control. IMHO

Make him go to the doctor snoring that much isn't healthy!

Eta: I agree with the sleep apnea, also make him sleep on his belly if you can. Or in the meantime buy a white noise machine that might help drown him out. And try to go to bed before him. I have trouble falling asleep when hubby falls asleep first. He snores sometimes but it's not that bad.

Haha I was going to comment to try breathe right strips, but two others have beat me to it! With three recommendations, they might be worth trying (and bonus, they are inexpensive!).

Oh ok I understand...it means "in my honest opinion".

Maybe if it just started then it could just be stress related or temporary.

I would try the strips in the mean time. Hopefully that works

congrats on your pregnancy! Smiley smile

My fh snores so bad. Breathe right strips do nothing!! It might be worth a try but they did nothing for FH. I usually sleep on the couch when it gets bad.

FH needs to get checked by a doctor but so far he won't. He needs to lose weight and it's worse when he drinks so maybe that can factor in? Good luck because I am out of my mind.

If it has just started maybe he has been super tired lately...my FH snores as well but I know when he is really tired because it gets really loud.

I just thought b/c we changed around the room that's how it started. B4 that he never snored.

When FH snores, I find his hand or shoulder and massage it. it quiets him down so I can go back to sleep

Haha @Starlight, than is a good point! I learnt that one backpacking around Europe and many nights in multi-person hostel rooms. If you give someone a little jostle, it will usually disrupt the snore. It doesn't have to be much, a touch or shoulder rub will usually do it. No guarantees that he won't start snoring again, but it can help as a bandaid solution.

I agree that a doctors appointment sounds like the next step. Unless he is sick, people tend to snore if they are stuffed up... but this sounds like it's a bit more than just that.

I will try the rub tonight. Hopefully I can just sleep threw the night w/out hearing him. He does have a cold so maybe that's playing a part

Have his dentist make him a snore guard. It helps bring the jaw forward so the snoring stops. My patients that have gotten one say it's a marriage saver! At my office they are about $800 (they have to be made at a lab) but totally worth it bc it will help him breathe & sleep better as well as stop the snoring so you will sleep better.

I know how you feel the last few night I have little to no sleep. If it's not his dog waking me up its his snoring keeping me awake.

I work in the medical field and have begged him to get checked out for sleep appena or to go to dentist for the guard.
