Describe your favorite weddings

Of ones you have attended before what stood out to you as being the awesomest party? Did/will you try to recreate that at your own?

My favorite wedding hands down was of one of my closest friend who I studied abroad with. I don’t remember much of the details or what I ate, but I just remember how happy and genuine the couple was, and truly the day was fun because the couple themselves were just so excited. I think some people stress so much on every little thing that they forget to enjoy the moment. One other thing that I did remember from that wedding though was at the end of the night there was a huge fireworks show that was fantastic. I won’t recreate any of that, but I really did enjoy the whole experience.

There was a wedding that had a magician and I loved it so much I did want it at mine but didn’t end up getting it because I didn’t have the budget for it

My favorite weddings were smaller (30-50) guests, very personal, no dancing or DJ but fabulous venues and food/drinks.

My favorite weddings have always been tailored to the couple.

So, personalized ceremonies, or venues that really reflect them, or decor that speaks to their shared passions. Also, if they had a good DJ/band.

Basically, any wedding that made me think of the specific couple getting married, instead of just, "yay a wedding!"

So... DH and I heavily personalized ours, and people are *still talking about it* over a year later.

My favorite wedding was my godsister's, she had hers at the zoo. It was cool to touch the joey, penguin and baby leopard. I would not recreate jer wedding for mtself. After hours of research, I decided to stop visiting zoos because many do not have the animals' best interest at heart and are for profit. Even if they claim non-profit.

My brother’s wedding was amazing, but there’s no way I could afford to do the things they did or have as glamorous as a venue. One of the best parts, though, was how sweet and personal the ceremony was. That made it really special.
The DJ was also fantastic! Between the atmosphere and the music, the party was awesome! Everyone danced all night. We’re hoping our DJ is just as great as getting people to dance.

My cousins wedding was great. She had a great DJ and we danced the night away. It was so much fun

I agree with Rebecca. My favorites are those that show the couples personality. So many interesting and unique couples. We both have old souls and have always wanted a Victorian themed wedding. First in a Victorian church, then a mansion, thoughts of a Gothic castle in Ireland, but since covid all of that has changed. We found a beautiful resort in Jamaica with a Victorian gazebo, including gingerbread trim, and it's located in the garden. The gazebo is elevated so the sea will be seen in the background. Since it'll be just the two of us, we hope our photos capture our Victorian vibe.

The best wedding I went to was a midday event—I remember the passed apps were great, the favors were bottles of wine and the dance floor was hopping. Our tablemates were awesome and we actually all went out to a bar after the wedding to continue the party.
