Depositing wedding gift checks?

We got married 2 weeks ago, and I know we should deposit the checks ASAP (we haven’t yet because I was caught between thank you cards first or not, and personal issues). My only question, mostly to keep off the anxiety, would be: how bad is it that we haven’t deposited checks (and can’t) until 2.5 weeks after wedding day? We’re going to do it Monday (and then there may or may not be an issue with DH last name being on them and me not changing my last name yet) but my anxiety got the best of me so I’d just like others opinions on this. TIA!

I don't see an issue with it! Lots of couples honeymoon right after the wedding, so guests understand checks aren't going to get deposited asap!

Not a big deal, also I had zero problem cashing checks made out to my married name. I just signed the back with my maiden name and the “paid to” my married name or something like that. 99% of banks are super easy on this, especially if you go in person with your marriage license, together.

It's ok, do it when you have the time. I know how hectic everything must be for you to do it right away. It makes sense to also do it all in one go too if that's what you want

I waited a month lol. I was able to deposit check although I hadn’t changed my last name yet.

Of course it’s not polite to sit on checks without cashing them, but I think you are still completely fine! We’ll be going on a 17 day honeymoon right after our wedding so if we get any checks it’ll be at least 3 weeks until we cash them.
