We received about 100 checks and I do not want anyone's account to mess up. It has been 2 weeks since the Wedding and we are now waiting for our photographer to send us the photos we will be including in each Thank You Card, which will take about 2 more weeks. Should I go ahead and deposit these checks in the meantime? I know if it were me, I would not want anyone to keep holding on to my cash gift. Thoughts?

Juliette, if I don't get a wedding thank you note, I don't send a baby gift. I send a congrats card and nothing else. (And vice vs if the baby comes first.)

Meghan, I am right there with you on that one.

We received some checks before the wedding. I sent the thank you the day the gift was received. Then I posted a question on here about what I should do with them. lolol

Since we had a DW, we told friends not to give gifts. They were incurring the expensive of travel and lodging. That was enough. We really had hoped they would have honored our wishes. I didn't have a bridal purse or card box. We were shocked and somewhat embarrassed that we received a card with cash/check/gift cards from every guest. After we came home from our honeymoon, I sent emails to each of our guests, thanking them for coming and their generosity, and then immediately bought some cheap note cards with an "M" on it to send out hand written thank you cards. I was embarrassed we hadn't ordered something more appropriate(As I did when I married the first time. The thank you matched the invites.) but I figured it was better to get out a thank you than wait.
