It makes perfect sense you’ll want to see how it photographs! I’d just assume you can and if they try and stop you say all the other shops let you and you need photos to make your decision.

Thanks!! I was reading a review that they said they weren't allowed to take any pictures!( I think that also was 2016 too) so I don't even know now! I was like that's so stupid. I couldn't imagine not looking at my self if i was deciding on dresses ya know??! Thanks I sure will.

I can't remember the details, but a friend's daughter had a Demetrios gown and there was some kind of an issue with their distribution channels at the time (probably December 2017?). The shop where they originally bought the dress suddenly wasn't allowed to receive the dress when it was ready. They ended up having to drive nearly 2 hours to a different store to pick it up (and we live in a major metropolitan area). It might have just been a fluke, but you may want to do some checking to make sure you don't run into an issue later. (Also, her dress was SUPER late, like it arrived 3 days before the wedding and was still being rush altered the night before the wedding -- all due to issues with the manufacturer/distributor.)

It was Christmas time, I believe in 2017. They ordered in plenty of time, but after they ordered I think Demetrios was in financial trouble (it was around the time of the Alfred Angelo fiasco, and a lot of wedding dress companies were in trouble). It was a mess: the dress was months late, something happened and they massively reduced the number of stores who could (or would?) carry their dresses. The bride's dad had to threaten to sue because the wedding was fast approaching and NO dress.... They ended up having to drive to a salon more than 2 hours away to get it on Christmas Eve, and the bride was at a private seamstress' home on Christmas morning for her only fitting before the wedding 2 days later. I'd just ask a lot of questions at the salon about their experience with the manufacturer. (Unfortunately, I think this is pretty common in the industry -- there are rumors all the time that David's is filing bankruptcy.) Good luck!

I got a Demetrios dress, but I didn’t go to their salon because of the bad reviews. I just researched for dress salons around where I lived to find some place that carries their dresses. Their dresses are even more beautiful in person!
