Decorations with the old date

Cortney, on April 17, 2020 at 9:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
I have a ton of decorations that say April 4th 2020 I had bought as favors and stuff. I could get new ones with the new date may 22, but honestly we might end pushing back again to June then I would have even more stuff I can't use.

I was thinking about some sort of comical, lighthearted sticker, a "covid 19 ruined my wedding" or like social distancing wedding sticker or stamp.
Has anyone seen anything like that? Would it be a dumb idea? What are other people doing with their stuff with the now wrong date on it?

I would just use it because it’s a part of your story. I saw someone on here has a change the date postcard and they put something along the lines of “our in sickness and in health got postponed due to sickness”

I’ve heard some people using “Take 2” as a line for their rescheduled date

    Hi Cortney,

I'm a fan of your ideas! Sometimes all you can do is make a joke to lighten the mood. As the PP mentioned, the date change is part of your story.

There are several discussions about dated decor items, so you may find some inspiration and/or feedback in any of these conversations:

    - What to do about dated favors

    - What to do with wedding decor with different date

    - Re-purchasing items with dates after postponing wedding

The COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented (in our lifetime at least). Personally, I would prioritize using my wedding budget in other ways rather than re-purchasing favors with the new date. Just my two cents' worth!

I'm wishing you the best of luck with your new date! Smiley heart
