So I wanted to know would it be rude for me and my FH to only ask for money and gift cards for our wedding gifts. So I wanted to know would it be rude for me and my FH to only ask for money and gift cards for our wedding gifts. I say this because I know for weddings people like to buy china and house appliances and we just don't have the room for that because we are still living in an apartment. I do not want to sound greedy or rude but we simply do not have the room for anything extra. Any advice???

We live together and didnt really need anything so we simply did not register for gifts. We are not expecting them either. We however will be thankful for the ones we do recieve. Asking for cash or gift cards goes against ediquet and to me is wrong. My fh had a cousin get married over the summer and had that printed on the invite. I had a very fun time laughing my ass of at the nerve of them to specifically ask for cash.. We did not give cash to them a small gift and a card was given.. Simply dont do it.

This is so cringey to read and not true at all. If you provide good food, good music, drinks, are polite and gracious and don't act entitled, who is going to be offended? If you actually have a guest who would be offended by...I don't know, the color of the table linen or something...then when are you inviting them?
