Deciding against a wedding band?

Rachel , on May 29, 2019 at 1:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
I’ve been looking at wedding bands off and on the last few months and now that it’s time to make a decision on one I’m thinking of forgoing a band all together because I really don’t like how they look with my ring! Has anyone else decided against a band?

I considered it. My engagement ring is pretty unique and the matching band looks uneven and two matching bands is too bulky for my small hands. I ultimately decided to get one, I'm excited to wear both bands to symbolize our marriage and not just engagement. Having the band will be good too when I don't want to wear my ring outside or somewhere I wouldn't want to damage it. I decided on a VERY simple silver band.

I considered it before my mom passed down my grandmother's wedding band and I am thrilled to be using it as my own. I love my engagement ring and didn't want to take away from it at all.

My sister decided to wear her engagement ring on her right hand and her wedding band alone on the left because even custom a ring wouldn't have looked good with her engagement ring

My engagement ring has a unique shape and didn't come with a matching wedding band. I got it custom made so that the curve matches the engagement ring, but still looks good on its own. I know I will always wear the wedding band, I don't know if I will necessarily always wear my engagement ring.

I told my fiancé that it’s 2019 I don’t need to wear a wedding band , my engagement ring is enough. But I was also frustrated when I told him that because I could not find a band that I like and that goes with my engagement ring since it has a curved. He told me he wants me to have one and so we kept on looking and eventually found one that I love and also went with my engagement ring! I’m glad we got me one because it look so good with my engagement ring!

I'm forgoing a band because my band is also swirled and my FH and I thought it was a little weird that I would have 2 rings while he only had 1, equality and all so I'm keeping my engagement ring separate! I don't feel like I'm missing out or anything because I'm super excited that soon he'll have a wedding band and they're a pair :3

Yup. I only wanted 1 ring (I like thin bands) so I only have an e-ring. 👍

We're just going to wear our bands and leave the engagement ring in a box. Don't have my band picked out yet and I'm not sure if she's going to wear the band that we have. (It was my grandmother's set)
