Hi! I've browsed a bit & haven't exactly found an answer to my question, so I figured I'd post it.
My FH is leaving soon for the Navy, & the only time he's guaranteed to be free within the next who-knows-how-long is two weeks around Christmas and New Year. So, we decided to get married the week after Christmas (probably either the 29th or 30th) since the week leading up to then always seems to be more stressful and busy for people. We're getting married in CA b/c that's where most of his family is; my family is all over the country and has to travel no matter what.
I never really wanted a wedding during the holidays (always dreamed of fall), but that doesn't matter to me now because having my Navy groom there is more important than the time of year. Ha. But I DESPERATELY want an outdoor ceremony! So, my question is this: is it unrealistic for me to hope for that in SoCal? FH seems to think it's going to be miserably chilly with wind. I have no reference point b/c I'm from IL.
