December Honeymoon Destinations

My future hubs and I would love to go to Italy or somewhere in Europe, but it is too cold?

If Europe is too cold, what are some tropical recommendations out there? Thanks in advance!

It's summer anywhere south of the equator like Australia, French Polynesia etc.! Close to the equator such as Southeast Asia or Hawaii would also work!

If you guys really want to go to Europe, you can always just wait until a better time of year? That will give you more time to plan the perfect honeymoon as well! If that's your dream place then just wait!

We're getting married in February so we wanted to go somewhere warm for our honeymoon. We're going to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos! Winter is, actually, the prime season to go there because the weather is perfect. The water is super clear and turquoise, and Grace Bay Beach is consistently ranked the top beach in the world. Pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean will have nice weather in the winter.

It'll be cold. I've been to Europe in December but some parts are much warmer compared to others (still cold though but not as cold) e.g. Denmark and Norway will snow but Germany and Italy won't be as cold as that

If you really want to go to Europe, the Canary Islands is the warmest spot in the winter.

Maybe consider St. Barths- it's got a European feel to it, and will be warm! If you're dead set on Europe, you'll need to push until at least May for warm weather in places like Greece and southern Italy.

FH and I are getting married a week before Xmas in 2020. We’re going to Jamaica for a week. Not that badly priced either for flights round trip and hotel stays are pretty good.

It’ll definitely be cold—Europe is a LOT farther north than most of the US. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing—my best friend went to Prague in December for her honeymoon and the pictures she showed me looked absolutely magical—with the snow all around it looked like something out of a fairy tale 😍

It depends on where in Europe. Spots in Spain or Southern Italy won’t be cold cold but they also won’t have beach weather really. We live in the U.K. and it’s not bitterly cold in the winter but it’s dark so I usually don’t recommend it between October - April. If you’re really looking for sun I would probably wait till May. My cousin went on a cruise in early May through Italy, France and Spain and loved it and said it was an affordable option for all they got to see.
