Day of timeline help??

Jenni, on April 11, 2022 at 3:32 PM Posted in Planning 9 2

Hi Everyone,

I'm working on our day of timeline and I can't get it figured out. This started as a DIY simple cake and coffee type event and then got a little out of control lol. We are now having beer/wine and a chicken 'dinner', but in an afternoon timeslot. Here is what I have so far, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

8:00AM- Building Available

8:00-10:00-Set Up

10:00-11:30- Groomsman get ready

11:30-1:30- photos (all being done before the ceremony)

1:30PM- doors open

2:00PM-ceremony

2:30-ceremony ends

3:15- lunch/dinner?

4:15-toasts

4:30-cake cutting

4:45-first dances

7:00- couple departs

7-10PM- volunteers to clean the venue

*This is going to be a pretty casual event and ceremony and reception are in the same space.

What volunteers are going to clean the venue for 3 hours? It doesn't matter how casual your event is, please don't put your guests or bridal party to work

It's acceptable to ask your bridal party to help with small, "fun" tasks such as setting out centerpieces or tying ribbons. Cleaning up after drinking and partying is not fun. Professional staff can get that done in 30 minutes to an hour. If you anticipate 2 hours to set up, then it sounds like you'll have a lot to clear out and clean up

I think this looks great Jenni!

Is there drive time involved between the ceremony ending and lunch/dinner starting? That's the only gap I see! If everything is in the same location you could also do drinks and mingling during that time!
