Day of makeup or hair first?

I'm thinking hair first since it will take longer and you want your mu to be fresh as possible for pictures

Your stylist should help with your day of timing. But most do hair first due to all of the heat tools being used. If you get hot, it may cause you to sweat some of your makeup off. So it’s typically hair then makeup.

Hair first. You will sweat off your makeup while they are using hot tools around your face. It's not a big deal for your makeup artist to move your hair out of the way the just do touch ups to your hair after.

I agree, take care of the hair first!

I always did hair then makeup, so the heat from the hair tools doesn't melt my makeup. However, my HAMU artist did makeup then hair so the hairspray would act as a second setting spray for the makeup. Everyone looked great and HAMU stayed on well!

I hadn’t even thought about the heat of the tools. I was mainly thinking of frizz and humidity- I’m a curly haired person. This has been helpful and i agree, I will do hair first. Thank you everyone!
