Day of help!

Summer, on January 25, 2023 at 8:57 AM Posted in Planning 2 10

Hi!

I am currently working on my day-of timeline.

The bridal party will be staying in the same hotel, boys in one room, girls in another.

We have a party bus picking us up after we get ready to go take photos for a couple hours and then they are dropping us off at the venue. (ceremony & reception in same place) My question is- If the hotel doesn't have a shuttle, how do we get back to the hotel at the end of the night?

Thought about dropping a couple cars off the night before, but everyone will be drinking so that's out.

Thanks!!!

Can you book the party bus to also pick you up at the end of the night?

Unfortunately no. They only offer services during the day.

Is there a company that rents school buses near your venue? Also check with limo services, taxis, other party buses, etc. Your venue might also have information about what companies their other couples have booked for transportation for their weddings. Otherwise, maybe plan on Uber or Lyft if they are fairly reliable and available in your area? I'd use Uber or Lyft as a last resort, just in case you have issues finding a driver.

Lol, I totally understand how that goes! Wedding planning has an overwhelming amount of details to focus on. Good luck, I hope you're able to find a good transportation option!

Well they don't sound much like a "party" bus if they only run during the day 😂

I agree that there *should* be some other shuttle service in town that can handle the transportation back. There’s a possibility that they’ll still make you pay for a round trip even though you just need one way, but hopefully not and there will probably be multiple companies unless you’re in a smaller town. This is one of those weird things where you don’t know it exists until you look for it because when else is anyone booking mass transportation lol?

I would schedule a bus or limo to safely drive you guys back at the end of the night if you guys can afford to share the cost with your bridal party? If it’s not in your budget have everyone just Uber back or maybe if there’s 2-3 people willing to be designated drivers for them using their own cars?

If the hotel doesn't have any kind of shuttle service, I'd either book a limo/ bus for the end of the night, or just plan to Uber.
