Day of coordinator

Amanda, on July 13, 2019 at 2:08 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
Ok. We're roughly 50 days out and it's not in the budegt but......should we get a day of coordinator? I'm beginning to feel stressed and I don't want my mom trying to take on to much... What do you think? Pros and cons. Ladies for those that didn't do one did it turn out ok?

I think you definitely need to get a DOC. You don't want to have to worry about any problems on your day. The DOC will handle all that and keep a timeline. Even if the venue has a coordinator they work for the venue and not you. Your doc should handle any problems that comes up that day without you evening knowing

I had one for two hours to set up. Can you find one that doesn't have a big minimum amount of hours you need?

I can’t imagine not having our coordinator. We did a “month of” coordinator and that has been tremendously helpful especially knowing that the day of the wedding I just have to look pretty and show up!
We paid 800 for ours but it was an expense that was important to me to help alleviate the stress. We have friends and family but I didn’t want to ask them to help clean or take things down after celebrating with us.

No, I dont. The only person I know whose getting married soon is my FH cousin two weeks after us and I don't want to put any other stress on her either haha

Even if you don't get a professional DOC, definitely have someone there in charge of the day. My fiancé works with someone who does DOC for free just for fun!

Can confirm a DOC will help you decrease that stress. You may run into issues finding one but it will be worth it.
