Look elsewhere if you can. Azazie, Cocomelody, Revelry all have try on at home programs and they don’t require the astronomically expensive alterations that David’s pressures you into.


As an aside, don’t ask anyone to be a bridesmaid before 6-8 months before the wedding because people and friendships change over time and you don’t want to ask the wrong people too early. And there isn’t anything they need to do before the wedding besides get a dress. With the above shops, the dresses come in pretty quickly so you don’t need to start looking until you ask them to be a bridesmaid at 6 months out.

I don't think they're going anywhere. They are just declaring bankruptcy so they can restructure their debt. They also declared bankruptcy in 2018. I read that 1 in 4 US brides got their wedding dress at David's. If they can't work things out with their creditors, someone will definitely buy them. Just my 2 cents.

I must be out of the loop but what happened with David’s bridal?

I am not going to lie, I was a bit nervous when hearing the news about David's Bridal Bankruptcy. My wedding is in August of this year. I've purchased my dress prior to hearing the news. Along with my bridesmaids and Flower girls already purchasing their dresses. When I heard about the news I quickly went online and made sure I ordered my veil. I haven't had any issues with my dress. However, I know for my bridesmaids some of their dresses gave them problems with the zipper. But the staff at my local Davids Bridal are very nice and helpful.

Thank God no I got my wedding dress there and bridesmaids dresses there and got them before they closed down.

I got my dress there with excellent customer service and continual support from them. Granted I don’t have to wait over a year for my wedding in case something were to go wrong. What would your concern be if they did go under after you’d purchased from them?

I had an appointment with the dresses I chose and my bridesmaids drove quite a distance.
They no longer had them in house or in stock online
I was heartbroken! I did get my dress because it was luckily still there. But they are not renewing any inventory. I'm thankful I did this early enough to find new ones somewhere else. Love Davids but would not recommend. When I went there 2 months ago they told me they would have everything in stock. Obviously that did not happen.
