David Tutera's "Your Wedding Experience"

Kasey, on August 6, 2015 at 8:15 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

I received an alert from The Knot that David Tutera's "Your Wedding Experience" bridal show will be coming to Houston this weekend. A little research tells me this is a traveling show, but I've never heard of it before. Has anyone been in their city? Is it worth my $15?

I never heard of it, but I would check it out if it comes to Philadelphia or Atlantic City. Even if I wasn't engaged I'd probably want to see it.

ETA: I googled it, and he IS coming to Philadelphia in September!!

I'm not sure if it's worth it. I got that email too and I went to the bridal expo with randi fanoli and you had to get a different ticket. That ticket was like 85 dollars lol. But I didn't read the email lol

A few years ago a friend of mine planned out an entire tacky wedding to submit to My Fair Wedding to see if she could get on the show and get him to do her wedding. It would have been so cool...but her plan didn't work.

LOLOL Jacqui.....but I'd pay way more to see Colin Cowie. I've worked with Colin and Randi; they are such completely class acts, inspiring to me as a pro, and dedicated to their craft.

I would go! LOL Jacqui I definitely think some of the "tacky weddings" on My Fair Wedding were inauthentically planned! My mom actually wrote to David Tutera asking him to plan my wedding shortly after I got engaged. Although I knew nothing would come of it, I was annoyed. I do not think she understands the premise of his show if she thought he would be like, "sure!"

He came to Cleveland and had a show at Catans. I love him so I HAD to go. He was hilarious gave a talk about planning gave us some tips, dos/don'ts and then took questions from the audience. Afterwards he did a meet and greet no extra charge it was so fun. It was also nice to see all of his gowns modeled, and the dresses were 50% off- I dont know if that will be at every show he does but if you are eyeing one of his gowns its worth checking out.

@lolsenn...I saw Randi at the Bridal Extravaganza back in January...really great speaker, good show. I was fortunate to be given the tickets for myself, FH and MOH to go...otherwise, I would not have paid the $85 to go to that. There was an opportunity after he spoke to meet and take a pic, but we decided not to...there were just too many people there and I just didn't really feel like waiting around in line...and the "swag bag" you received for buying that ticket was less than stellar (and that's giving it too much credit!).
