Im bored and starting the dreaded dress shopping (deciding what styles and designers I like) so I know where I can make appts. at. Im also making a little folder of clippings of dresses! So, just in case I LOVE a dress I can't afford I can maybe find something that is similar in my price point. Yup this is what I am doing on my Friday night!

Also, for fun who is your favorite designer?

I don't have one yet Smiley sad but Im sure after a few trips of dress shopping I will!

    I was at the mall yesterday and there was this bridal boutique, so of course I wondered in (not expecting to try anything on). I went in and some group was being helped. I did actually get to ask to see the Maggie "Haven" in blush in PERSON!!! Of course, I didn't like it just on the racks- but Im going back soon to try it on! I was going through a few racks and I was in dress heaven! I can't wait to start shopping. I asked her if I were to order the Maggie (if I tried it and fell in love) now how long would it take to arrive. She said by April. So, I figured I better start finding a dress. April-September is a lot of time. But, I don't even have a dress ordered- so if I pick another designer and it takes longer I'll be scared. I want my dress to arrive at least 2 months before wedding. I think that would be perfect!

    @KTSmom- That's a gorgeous wedding gown!

    David tut era gowns are priced anywhere from around $1,200 to probably $2500 tops. they are Very reasonably priced gowns compared to most designers. Note: make sure you have a really good seamstress doing the work on it because on those gowns the manufacturers sew the beads into the fabric most of the time; not on appliqués so when the gown is cut to be fitted correctly the beads will need to be hand sewn back on after. Beautiful affordable gowns though.

    I love Maggie Sottero as well, but I ended up with a Madeline Gardner dress! Those two were the designers that always seemed to jump out at me when I looked in magazines or online.

    Maltese- You look gorge! Which dress is that? I'm partial to Probovias as well, they're gonna be my first (possibly only? lol) visit next month. If not Pronovias, Rosa Clara

    I tried on a David dress when I first started shopping and it was under 2k. I loved this one http://davidtuteraformoncheri.com/wedding-dresses/214207/?fc= (the Aly). it is super flattering and i loved it. IAfter looking at all of his dresses on his website i think that they're very pretty and verrry reasonably priced. The only reason that I didn't purchase it was because i wanted something fuller. I ended up with an Eve of Milady gown.

    @Jaclyn, My David Tutera was already a ball gown but i wanted it fuller too so I bought a crinoline underskirt that I am going to have added to the dress to bulk it up.
