Cutting train off wedding dress

Ximena, on July 18, 2022 at 9:06 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
I love this dress made by Essense of Australia but the train is too long for my liking. I’m having a beach wedding and I think the train will be cumbersome. I’m just worried that I won’t be able to chop it off given that it has so many little details. Has anyone done it before? How did it turn out? Thanks in advance! Cutting train off wedding dress 1

I think it’s gorgeous! I’d say talk to your seamstress and see what they would suggest or recommend. I’m pretty sure they’d be at to cut it off leaving a bit of the details.

I would leave it or do a bustle so you don't lose the detail

I'm not going to have a train either. From what I understand, a seamstress can take fabric from above the lace so you don't lose the detail.

I had my train completely removed and length of dress taken up a bit. A good seamstress will be able to do this with keeping the detail border on bottom intact.
So glad that I did this.
