Custom Wedding Website

Lindsey, on March 26, 2018 at 2:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

I'm a web site/graphic designer and would like to use our own "look & brand image" for our wedding website. I was going to build a website in WordPress with the OneLove theme but I like the simplicity of the built in features that Wedding Wire and The Knot uses for their wedding planning (RSVP tracking, combined registries etc) so it's not a manual process.

Does anyone know or has had experience customizing the templates on Wedding Wire or The Knot with their own look and feel so that they aren't looking cookie cutter?

Any other wedding website platforms out there with built in features that are customizable in design that I've missed ?

Someone recommended withjoy.com a while back and I bookmarked it for when we'll make ours. I'm not sure what all you can do with it but so far, I like the simplicity and quality of it. But I can't speak to functionality of it or anything.

We are using Minted for our wedding website. It says that they offer RSVPs and registries. We haven't used those features yet. They did give us a discount on our save-the-date magnets which was nice.

We used wix.com and it's been great! Everything is customizable and it keeps track of RSVPs well!

We used WordPress for ours. NotFroofy found a plug-in that would do RSVPs. We used an Amazon registry, which allowed us to put anything from any online site into our registry.

We used Squarespace and I love it because I wanted something that I could completely customize. You can add in an RSVP feature, and pretty much anything that you would want from other wedding websites
