Cups sewn into dress or plunging back bra?

Does anyone have any experience with cups sewn into their dress or with a plunging-back bra? Does anyone have any experience with cups sewn into their dress or with a plunging-back bra? My dress is too low-cut in the back for a regular strapless bra (see below), and I was planning on having my seamstress sew cups into my dress... until I saw the plunging-back bra below on Pinterest. Now I'm no sure which to go with.

I prefer the idea of sewn-in cups because I know my bra won't end up showing in any of my pictures and also because I think they will be more comfortable. But I am a little concerned that, with the top of my dress being so stiff, my ta-ta's will end up making an appearance at some point in the evening. They don't exactly fill out my dress-top, if you know what I mean. =/

Does anyone have experience with sewn-in cups? Do they keep things pretty secure as you move around? Or would I be better-off going with a bra similar to the one below and hoping it doesn't show?

Thanks in advance!!

As for those sticky push-up bras, anyone have any experience with them!? I want killer cleavage too! But right now my dress zips up perfectly, and throwing a strap in the mix would make to a little too snug!

Cups. from what i noticed with the bras that you have in your pic, they smush your stomach out at the bottom creating a pouch so thats why i opted out on that one and just went for cups.

@ohheyitsina i have that bra at home i use for backless shirts. im a size b and got a size b, they work but sometimes i feel like it makes my boobs a different shape depending what kind of shirt i wore with it. shouldnt be a problem with a wedding dress though since the dress wil just push those girls up

This is the thing I ordered from target... it's actually cotton on the outside and just sticky on the inside. I'm going to see if it helps or hurts with the cups that are sewn in.

Sew in cups work, but even if you are big chested let me suggest getting those silicon enhancers that Jessie's Girl is talking about, they push everything to where they need to be!

I'm getting mega padded cups sewn in, lol. I'm a C but look more like a small B.

I had my seamstress sew in cups. I didn’t think I was tugging at my dress but after watching video footage, I noticed I was pulling up my dress a lot. I would’ve been like that with a strapless bra too though. Doing it again still would’ve sewed in the cups.

Ok, some people think I'm crazy but I always sew in my own cups into strapless dresses, and it works really well. I'm an A- so yeah I've heard that sewn in don't give as much support, but it does the trick for me. I actually use old bras of mine and then cut the straps off. You can even sew in the band for support if you want. I think it's quite comfortable!!

I will be sewing in an old padded bra into my wedding gown Smiley winking

Go with the bra. They overcharge you for them to be sewn into dress and u never use again. the bra will provide support and I guarantee you will use it again.

Thanks everyone!! I bought myself a set of silicone cups last night, so that's checked off the list... and I think I'm going to go with the cup route; you all have calmed my fears... now I just need to find some nicely padded ones so that I look, um, feminine in my wedding dress. The more "feminine" the better... lol. Thank you!

In response to cups sewn in being overpriced, it only cost me $20 and my seamstress supplied the cups.

Do sew in cups - otherwise you could start tugging at the strapless when it gets uncomfortable, because those things are never very comfy!!

SOOOOOOOOOO, I suck and couldn't get a picture of the cups because I felt weird because the lady was in the room with me. I took the dress home though, and can do that tonight.

I don't think I even need extra support from the adhesive bra thing I bought because the cups really did their job, but I'll probably try it with it just in case. The boning in the dress really helps because I don't foresee myself pulling at the top of the dress at all, it stays up and the girls stay in place. Smiley smile

So after my fitting yesterday we decided i needed a corset bra which is similar to what you showed... my dress needs it. If it doesn't give me the same oomph i will be needing cutlets!
