Crying On Your Wedding Day

The Bride, on July 22, 2019 at 7:06 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 16
Did you know that it's good luck for the bride and groom to cry (happy tears) on their wedding day? Apparently it symbolizes that they have shed all of their sad tears and will only cry tears of joy throughout the course of their marriage.

If you're married, did you and/or your spouse cry on your wedding day? During what part of the wedding day?

If you're not married, do you think and/or your spouse will cry on your wedding day? Why or why not?

I think I will because this is a second time for us. We dated back in 1985 and found each other again a few years ago. I think i'll be emotional because we're getting married at the community center we met at then at a dance. I think he'll at least get choked up during the vows. He's not much of a crier, but I figure his voice will crack when he says his vows

I think once my Dad cries it'll be all over for me. The two of us are pretty good at staying calm but if we look at each other we cry.
Fiance doesn't cry about anything ever, he's actually super upset with himself because he knows it'll be weird to look less emotional.

My husband got choked up while reading his vows but I wouldn't say he cried.

Weddings are such an emotional time for everyone, I'm surprised neither of us cried.

That's so funny because in my vows I talked about how I'm sure my husband will be straight-faced during the birth of our children and then he actually got choked up while reading his vows.

    Oh that's too cute.
There's no doubt in my mind the day my fiance becomes a dad he'll cry. He loves babies SO MUCH. Kids he barely knows walk up to him and call him Dad and he loves it. 😆
Wedding will be emotional but I think it'd going to be me and my dad crying down the isle. And then maybe laughing.

I’m sure I’ll cry, I can’t help it. I honestly can’t see my FH crying though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him cry, including when his dad passed. He tends to get very stoic when he’s emotional.

I’m really hoping I don’t because once it starts, it doesn’t stop. I hope any tears get out of my system during the first look.

Are you concerned about ruining your makeup or being caught doing an "ugly cry"?

Oh we’ll both cry! He’s tough on the outside but very sensitive and can get emotional and he’s already told me he won’t be able to control it when he sees me for the first time walking down the isle! I’ll probably be a hot mess all day so my MUA better seal my face up good!! 😂😂

If you think you might cry its a good idea to contract your MUA to include touch-ups.
