Crying during wedding

I might cry, but I think it's better if the bride doesn't cry so she doesn't ruin her expensive makeup 😆

In my vows i definitely felt emotional and welled up but didn't cry - which surprised me lol. because in times when i read my vows over, i did cry.

I'm hoping I don't cry! I don't feel pressure from anyone to cry on my wedding day, and I hope my fiance doesn't either. If it happens, it happens, I just hope I don't ruin my makeup, lol!

Omg YES!! We are the exact same way! Neither of us are criers. Everyone always wants to know if I cried when he proposed… nope! I actually laughed LOL I was just so excited! I hate the crying expectation everyone has these days. Everyone looks at the groom when the bride walks down the aisle to see his reaction, and brides are disappointed when their grooms don’t cry. So much pressure to react a certain way! I 100% expect neither of us to cry… and I am 100% ok with that!

Lol I have the opposite problem. I've cried at weddings when I didn't even know the couple well 😂 I'm praying I don't ruin my makeup or all the photos

H said he wouldn't cry and didn't want me to be disappointed if that was the response I expected - I stepped down the aisle and he teared up like nobody's business (they're some of my favorites, honestly). I had a huge grin on my face all the way down the aisle lol.

We’d been together almost 7 years at that point (we started dating young. College and other financial stuff took priority) I was like FINALLY. Thank god it was dark out and no one could see me 😂


And yes everyone looks to the groom! Mine is meeting me half way up the aisle as I’m walking myself and we’ll finish the walk together and I think we’ll just be beaming the whole time

Not going to lie I’ll prob cry. I was the same way tho, I didn’t cry during the proposal because I was so excited. I was listening to the song I’ll walk out on and got teary eyed, so I KNOW i’ll cry lol - We’re not doing first look because I want her to cry when she sees me 😅

I don’t feel pressured to cry at the wedding because I know I will. But I did feel pressured when I went wedding dross shopping with friends. I did cry when I went gown shopping by myself.

I love that this thread happened because my FH and I were JUST talking about if we are going to cry or not hahaha! I cry every time I read the ceremony script our officiant sent over! My fiancé really thinks he's going to cry. Honestly though... I think we might cry during our first look and then will feel so awkward once we are in the ceremony in front of everyone that we won't cry hahaha

I was emotional from happiness and nerves. I got a second chance at love. My first marriage Was not good. I was more nerves at falling down the stairs I had to walk. But tuned to be my fairytale wedding

I think my fiance will cry. I might too. But if neither one of us does or if we laugh the whole way through, we know what our relationship is and we know our reaction to things. Just keep that in mind. YOU know how you are feeling and if your reaction is to jump up and down or giggle or sob, you and your fiance understand what that means!

This is something he has stressed over for the past 9 months! 😂 He adamantly said that he knows he is going to cry but he doesn’t want everyone to see him cry. So he tried to get me to show my dress to him beforehand (umm, no!) and he even said he will wear sunglasses during the ceremony! I told him he better cry! 😂
