Crunching to plan

Futuremrsm, on June 18, 2020 at 9:53 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
So i am a bit stressed out trying to plan a lot of things at the moment. We took a break with planning because of COVID, since we didnt know if we could keep our date and before I knew it 4 months went by and now we are 4 months until the wedding. We still have to pay for flowers, find a limo, and set up hair and makeup. My fiance also has not picked a tux out yet. I feel like im the only one kind of freaking out.

I had to ask my fiance multiple times to contact the flower shop because he was the one that talked to them initially so I didn't want there to be any confusion. They got back to him and I told him to ask how they wanted payment and he just keeps saying he'll get to it.
My hair stylist is now on maternity leave and she isn't sure if she will be back to work for my wedding. So if she can't do my hair I need to find another place...but its all up in the air.
My fiance bought a suit for another wedding that happened in February, and now he's just saying he'll wear that. I said i would prefer him to wear a tux because he'll stand out from the groomsmen. He keeps telling me that he'll get around to looking.
And for the limo I'm just annoyed because the bridal party including us is 12 in total, and no limo places around me have limos for that many. Just vans. I don't want to be driven around in a van on my wedding day.
I feel like im the only one stressed out. But I dont think my fiance or family realize how close 4 months is in wedding time. Im just trying to get everything done so I can stop worrying and no one is being helpful!

We’re doing a large party bus! It still look really stylish but we can get up and dance and there’s also a bathroom 🙌🏼. You may look into that! I know it probably feels like it’s closing in, but you still have time 😊

We have such a short ride so I don't think we could even get use out of a party bus :/ about 15 minutes to the venue and then like 5 to go to the first look location

Limos companies generally charge by the hour. I would sit down with your fiance and look at tuxes. Two online companies are Generation Tux and Black Tux. They both have an option to try on at home. The tux would be shipped to his house. He would just need his measurements. I can't really see a guy handling flowers or really caring about them that much so I will probably handle that yourself. I also look into finding someone else for hair and makeup because it doesn't sound like your girl will be available which is understandable since she is having a baby. I would handle each task one at a time.

Breathe! Take on one task at a time. Set up an online account with rental company of your choice, pick the most hideous tux and show it to fiancé. He’ll look at you crazy, fix it and boom problem solved. (That’s what is did, took 15 minutes)

Limos are getting put out by other car services. Have you thought about using Uber Black (you can get two 8 seater SUV’s) or Alto? If it’s a 15 minute drive, is a limo worth it?
Ask the girl who is doing your hair for a replacement. Someone she would trust for a last minute occasion. Good luck to you! Don’t stress!!

Can your hair stylist recommend another person to you?

I'm sure she can. I've been putting off messaging her because she just had her baby and I don't want to make her think about work

It'll be ok! Don't stress out too much and drive yourself crazy!

Wedding planning definitely comes in peaks and valleys! There's a several month lull where you don't have a ton of time-sensitive deadlines, and then all of a sudden several things all seem to hit at the 3-4 months out mark! Just make sure to tackle one thing at a time and focus on the next most urgent task on your checklist. Also give your fiancé his written tasks with specific deadlines as well to reinforce what you need!
