Cruise wedding or micro-wedding in a castle?

Brittany, on November 28, 2025 at 7:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
So my fiance does not care where or even when we get married. He just wants to make sure our parents are there. So I am having a hard time choosing between doing a Disney cruise wedding during Halloween time or doing a micro-wedding maybe 30 people in a castle during winter time frame. If you have any ideas and/or opinions I would greatly appreciate it! TIA!

Disney wedding is cringe. The castle thing sounds kind of cool but just remember you’re not some princess.

I love disney! Saying its cringe is your opinion. I love castles! And why can't I be a princess on my wedding day?

I just think the castle idea sounds cooler. Disney is overpriced and a castle experience in the winter sounds unforgettable and your guests will all remember it forever. ❤️

Some cruises are family oriented and very crowded. Check more for a romantic or calm cruise ship if you consider that option. I do appreciate how your fiancé promotes, as the minimal, having both sets of parents as reflecting a connection of tradition and family between generations.

What type of castle venues exist?

Both of these Disney wedding ideas sound so magical—tough call! The Halloween cruise wedding would be such a fun, whimsical vibe with that spooky-festive energy, and it’s low-key intimate if you want a laid-back vibe. But a 30-person winter castle wedding? That’s straight-up fairy-tale romance, perfect for cozy, heartfelt moments with your parents and closest people. Since your fiancé is flexible, go with the one that makes you light up—you can’t go wrong either way!
