Cruise wedding or micro-wedding in a castle?

Brittany, on November 28, 2025 at 7:24 PM Posted in Planning 1 8
So my fiance does not care where or even when we get married. He just wants to make sure our parents are there. So I am having a hard time choosing between doing a Disney cruise wedding during Halloween time or doing a micro-wedding maybe 30 people in a castle during winter time frame. If you have any ideas and/or opinions I would greatly appreciate it! TIA!

Disney wedding is cringe. The castle thing sounds kind of cool but just remember you’re not some princess.

I love disney! Saying its cringe is your opinion. I love castles! And why can't I be a princess on my wedding day?

I just think the castle idea sounds cooler. Disney is overpriced and a castle experience in the winter sounds unforgettable and your guests will all remember it forever. ❤️

Some cruises are family oriented and very crowded. Check more for a romantic or calm cruise ship if you consider that option. I do appreciate how your fiancé promotes, as the minimal, having both sets of parents as reflecting a connection of tradition and family between generations.

What type of castle venues exist?

Both sound amazing! If you want a fun, unique experience with a bit of adventure and entertainment, the Disney cruise could be magical. If you prefer something intimate, cozy, and super photo-worthy, the castle micro-wedding in winter sounds dreamy. It really comes down to the vibe you want for your day!

Both sound amazing, honestly, so I think it comes down to the experience you want to remember. A Disney cruise wedding is very fun and low-stress since so much is handled for you, and Halloween timing makes it even more unique. A castle micro-wedding feels more intimate and timeless, especially in winter, and with 30 people it can be really meaningful and personal. If your fiancé mainly cares about parents being there, I’d lean toward whichever option makes it easiest and most comfortable for them to attend — you’ll enjoy it more knowing that part is settled.
