Crocheting bridesmaid gifts

NO! That's amazing! If you crochet me an afghan, I'll love you for life. I'd be really appreciative that you spent so much time on me and I'd use it all winter.

Well, is it something that your bridesmaids would want? You know them better than we do. Personally a crocheted afghan doesn't do a whole lot for me ... Not that they aren't beautiful, but it doesn't go with my home decor and I am perpetually cold so they aren't warm enough for me when I need a blanket. BUT, if you think your girils would like them then sure!

ETA: Nothing to do wiht needing something "hipper"! Just not my personal style.

That's a good point Kate. 3 out of my 6 will love them. I'll just find something seperate for the other 3. I love the idea of something homemade.

I am lacking any sort of skillset to DIY anything worthwhile so I think it's cool that you have that

It'll be a lot of my free time but I craft in front of the TV. So it won't be too much work.

Afghan, sure...Cute Flower Beanie Hat, awesome...Scarf, cool...Any other oddly crocheted items such as pot holders, plant baskets, doilies, weird dolls, etc. = One Suck Ass bridesmaid gift. Keep it functional...I think they will appreciate it.
