Personally I hate pretty much ALL go fund me accounts. People asking for money, especially in such a crass way, just kinda makes me cringe.

Omg. I've seen something similar for college girls who want to go on a wild spring break. Like really? One came up on my newsfeed today for a high school friend but he was in an accident and the doctors don't think he'll be able to walk again. That is one of the only good ones I have seen.

My parents would whoop my butt if I did this as a senior in high school.

Wow I cant imagine how stressed she is. I must not know the struggle considering the last vacation I took was age 11 to Disney. Donate to me too

my old best friend, from like middle school, her mom had horrific breast cancer that just kept spreading. she made one because it was her mom's dying wish to go to Lancaster, PA and do the amish tourism stuff. I was like helloooooooooo I live an hour from there, I'll take you and you can stay with me, etc.. sadly, she died before it was ever able to happen she only wanted a thousand bucks, for gas, food and hotels. I still wish I had been able to help them.

Wow! I think the worst I saw was a couple who started a GoFundMe for their wedding. All of the stresses from high school? Being a Senior in HS was one of the easiest years of my life.

Go fund me has turned into an online version of a beggars corner.

I usually only see them for funerals and accidents too. Usually some horrific circumstance where there are no other options. I did see one like this for a trip to a mass concert series as a high school graduation gift. No one ever donated lol

I'd be so embarrassed to do this.. they got guts..I guess.

A friend posted one a while back for her sorority sister to be able to travel abroad. I don't remember the country but it was one of the hot-spots (Spain, maybe?). I've seen others that are for students of low income families, etc. but this one was just like the OP post. "It's always been my dream to travel to X." Yes, let me donate the money I've worked for so some stranger can go get trashed and make stupid choices in a different country.

There was a GoFundMe for an engaged couple that went viral because the groom had cancer and was given a few months to live. SO sad. Someone, not sure if it was the couple, started a campaign to move the wedding up to give them their dream wedding and make sure the groom was healthy enough to enjoy his wedding. Their wedding video practically stabbed me in the heart.

A girl from my HS posted a go fund me for her college tuition, um hello everyone on your FB is thousand of dollars in debt ourselves from going to college. And to make it worse every month she reposts it, still showing $0 donations have been made

I am see this a lot nowadays. People are truly taking it a bit far. I personally would consider it tacky. But I know some people who it may be acceptable to.
