While breakfast is certainly yummy, it might seem odd depending on what time of day you have your reception. Also, a lot of breakfast foods contain gluten and if anyone is allergic you might have to think of an alterative option for them.

As a guest I wouldn’t mind. There are savory and sweet breakfast choices.

It sounds great. Most people love breakfast food. Just be aware that an early morning wedding will be rough.

I'd say it depends on the theme of your wedding. If you're going for something laid back and casual it could be pretty fun as long as like pp above said I'd just make sure there's a backup for anyone that might be allergic to gluten or have dietary restrictions.

I love breakfast food as well, so I really like the idea!! There are plenty of options for sweet and savory dishes! I would def. consider any dietary restrictions or allergies that guests may have, and make sure you have options available for them!

It's a little out there, but maybe ask your guests and see what they think. Maybe a brunch would be more appropriate.

It’s your wedding. Do what makes you happy! When I’m a guest at someone’s house I am grateful for whatever they feed me. When you’re a guest at someone’s wedding it’s the same thing!

I have often had breakfast for dinner. I live in NJ, the land of the 24 hour diners where breakfast can be served any time. I say go for it!

Like what most people said, it would depend on the time of the day and the guests.

I love breakfast food! Growing up we would get breakfast for dinner as a special treat, so I think you should go for it! Every wedding is so personalized nowadays, I don't see how your guests could be mad at that. Free food is free food!

This. If people are that picky, they can eat somewhere else on their own dime.

Brunch for dinner sounds yummy! Maybe include fried chicken and waffles to ensure there’s enough food? Along with eggs, bacon, etc.

I went to an early afternoon wedding once that had breakfast food. Didn’t think it was weird or anything but I do remember it just didn’t keep very well. The potatoes turned a bit and the eggs were cold and watery. So I would just make sure that wherever you get it from is high quality because a lot of breakfast food doesn’t keep very well if not keep under the right conditions.

That's an incompetent caterer, not bad food selection

The best thing about downsizing is getting to be creative! I say go for it!! Make it fun and exactly what you want, it’s a weird time to be a bride so the things you can control, do it!
