Covid weddings

We're schedules for 10.30.20 and are looking and basically begging to reschedule our weddi g for 2021. Has anyone else had "issues" with their venue not accommodating? We were told we have to wait 8 weeks prior to the wedding date to reschedule. I understand from a business standpoint..I really do...however this is just not the wedding we planned for or are paying for. Really sad.

My venue tried to do the same thing to us in March for our June wedding. When they told me I would have to wait, I asked what steps we needed to take to cancel so I could find a more flexible venue and all of a sudden they let me switch to next June with no additional costs. Obviously this won’t always work, but depending on what you’ve put down in deposits, it might be worth at least exploring!

If you want the wedding you planned for and paid for I'd suggest moving your date to next year. I know it is a huge downfall and we are all in this together. Lots of hugs and best wishes!

A lot of brides on here (if you search the forums) are having difficulty with with their venue in rescheduling and I've read a lot are having to pay higher fees for doing so.
I'm sorry you're going through this, hoping it get better and easier for you.
