I have been avoiding Wedding Wire bc honestly other stressed brides have stressed me out more 😂 We moved our 6/27 wedding to 8/2 and were on pins and needles! Just received word from our venue we are a go!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Seriously have happy tears!

Ahh I'm in CA too and 10/10 bride too!! TOTALLY understand this! There's nothing about weddings and it's so frustrating. The only info I have is from my venue who has been contacting the county for wedding info. Hope it works out for us CA brides! Some counties now are moving into phase 3 so thats good!! 🤞

On Wednesday our governor laid out some
New reopening guidelines and lifted limits on social gatherings so I reached out to our venue. They got back to me last night.

Yay!! CONGRATS ❤️I agree I have been avoiding too lol. We are 8/8 and are a go. I do recommend avoiding comments you’ll get on this post asking about how you plan to implement social distancing lmao. I got a few of those when I was excited and announced I was a go!

In Maryland, venues that are just that and not a restaurant, country club etc., there are no guest count restrictions. For any that serves food or qualifies as a food establishment it’s 50%. So we are Able to have 120.

So what about venues that are part of a hotel? That would be 50% capacity?

I’m not really sure. I would imagine it would be whatever the hotel decides but no less than 50% 🤷🏼‍♀️

So happy for you guys! We really want a spring wedding so just moved ours to next year! It had originally been in April and we moved it to June, now again because our venue is still not open. But, I think August is a great choice, everything will be open and everyone will be feeling really good about gathering together at that point. Blessings your beautiful day!

Congratulations Sarah! I too was originally scheduled for June 27th and moved to August. We are also using the venue’s patio for the outdoor element. Love it!

You can have 100 guests for an outdoor wedding/reception in CA starting this month (June). Otherwise it's 25% of indoor capacity starting July 1st for churches and cultural ceremonies (weddings). For my daughter's outdoor wedding Aug. 1st the venue is doing temperature checks, social distancing seating according to "social bubbles", dancing with the person you came with, masks worn by staff and strongly encouraged (not enforced) for guests, and a manifest of names/phone numbers of all in attendance. They are also charging a $3.00 Covid charge per guest for disinfecting. Welcome to the new norm! Her favors are personalized bottles of hand sanitizers.
