Covid Wedding Help! -save the dates

Hello everyone! I have a question regarding our upcoming 2/22/21 wedding. Due to Covid, we have to only have up to a small certain number of guests. We know there are a lot of family/friends that would be unable/uncomfortable attending with everything going on, and I’m having trouble figuring out how to do my save the dates and invites. We want to send our save the dates to everyone (we will be live-streaming the ceremony too) but we’re unsure how to go about this. We don’t want to send the save the dates to everyone on our list, in case we get more “yes” RSVP’s than we can have allowed to attend. Has anyone done a first and second round of save the dates or how are you guys handling this?! Please help!!

Save The Dates aren't a formal invitation, so I certainly wouldn't send two rounds. People do not typically RSVP after receiving a Save The Date. You have to send an invitation to everyone who receives a Save The Date, so I suggest only sending them to those who you are definitely planning to invite. When you send out invitations 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding, you'll have a better idea of COVID restrictions at that time, and can either send out additional invitations to people who didn't receive Save The Dates (if gathering restriction allow), or only send invites to those who received a Save The Date if you're still limited on number of guests.

Hello! I'm doing 2 separate save-the-dates (1 for livestreamers only, 1 for in-person) and we're sending them out the same time, about 2 months before the wedding. They'll just look different since the in-person one will include the addresses.
