Covid-19. Wedding 9/4/20

Hi Brides. Our wedding is in September and is a destination wedding from Pennsylvania to Colorado. We had discussions about how to plan and we both agree we are going to keep our date regardless of future circumstances and will elope if necessary. I’m ordering invitations this month and looking for a good way to write our plans. Pretty much explaining we are still planning on celebrating with everyone on our day but will not be postponing if crisis goes through the summer

Please help!!! Thank you

At this point, I would just plan as normal. I wouldn't worry about including any type of information about your backup plan on your invitation. If you have a wedding website, that's where I would include the information. Hopefully your guests are smart enough to realize that you guys are monitoring the situation without you having to send something to say this to each guest.

My wedding is in September. I ordered invites during a sale before this started. So I put on the website that we are still proceeding with the wedding in September. As of right now we have no plans to cancel. But I wanted to let guests know we are aware of the situation.

Agreed with comment no. 1 about not having to mention anything right now. Especially if you're just going to elope anyways, I don't think you need to say anything. Our wedding is Sept 6th, and we are including a note about our plans, but that's only because it's a destination wedding so people kind of need to know in advance what our "cut off date" is. As long as no one is traveling a great distance I don't think you need to include anything.

We just moved our April wedding to September 3rd. We're also in PA! Most of our family will be traveling to Philly for the wedding from out of state-- so I understand how you feel! Like everyone has mentioned, a wedding website is a life saver considering the circumstances! It's been really easy to post updates, change of plans. We're using Minted and they have the option to send out blast emails to all the guests which makes it super easy to keep everyone in the loop. I would just write a one liner on your invites or have insert cards that say "Considering the current events of 2020, please check our website regular for updates"
