Covid-19 and April wedding

I know all of us spring brides are very stressed right now. My wedding is in Virginia at the end of April and I'm not sure if I should continue to wait and see or go ahead and begin contacting all our vendors to postpone our wedding until 2021 (this would be easiest for us to wait a whole year). Our governor just announced a ban on public gatherings over 100 people, for 2 weeks, I believe. Now, a wedding is a private event but I'm not quite sure if it is or isn't included in this ban. Does anyone have any clarification? Any advice? If you postponed, how difficult was it to find a new date where all your vendors are available?

I would at least contact your vendors and venue just to see what your options are

Contact everyone! Our venue and vendors have confirmed with us everything will still go on until further notice. I would honestly wait it out. So much can happen in 24 hours, let alone a few weeks!

Oh, I know! A lot can change in this next month and it could go either way. I speak with our venue tomorrow to discuss options and have drafted up an email to send to all vendors regarding the possibility of postponing. I'm a nurse and could get stuck at work so it's all ready in case my fiance has to handle all that communication for me.

We decide to post the wedding until next year. Our wedding was suppose to be April 11th. But with how iffy everything is right now. The best decision all around was to reschedule. All our vendors have been so nice about it all!

We have started discussing postponing with our vendors. So far, everyone has been great. We are still waiting to hear back from a few more vendors before we officially postpone it. It's sad to think we will have to wait another full year for our wedding though.
