Courthouse Wedding Etiquette

Hi,
Our wedding was originally supposed to be May 2nd, but was postponed due to Corona. We have rescheduled to November 2020... but don’t like the date and are going to have a courthouse wedding and possibly host the big wedding next year. I’m not sure if I want to still wear my wedding dress or if we should host a small reception after for our family and close friends that we have invited to join us for our courthouse wedding. We are not 100%if we will still do the big shebang next year so what does everyone think? Is it customary to just have the ceremony then have people go home after? There is a local brewery I was thinking we could go to after hut should we still flip the bill for everybody’s food and drinks or just let them pay for their own stuff?
