Courthouse Wedding Attire advice

My FH and I are getting married in the courthouse and I was wondering if anyone had opinions about what kind of attire we should wear. I was thinking about getting a simple white tea length dress (not necessarily like a legit wedding dress type), and then maybe just a dress shirt and tie for my FH. However, my family seems to think I should either go all out or just go in jeans. I know it's my wedding and my choice, but I just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion. Thank you!

    I like your idea of what you should wear. I wouldn't wear jeans, nothing special in that. Are you doing anything after? That would determine what you would wear as well.

    Well, I think we're gonna do a small wedding shoot. And we're inviting people to see us get married, but only like 30 people are being invited and because of the day it is, most of our guests probably won't be able to make it.

    Why not get a legit tea length gown and FH a nice suit? I so love the tea length gowns and being in a courthouse does not mean you can't wear the real thing, especially since you're having a photo shoot!

    A simple white tea length dress sounds perfect. Most women I know, wore a nice dress (not a wedding dress) to their courthouse wedding.

    I’m going to do some type of white dress and it will be long but not a full on wedding gown. We will have a photographer for a quick session after. Courthouse wedding attire can vary from jeans to just as dressed up as a formal church wedding so it’s totally personal preference!

    I honestly love seeing pictures of brides at the courthouse wearing tea length wedding dresses or really stylish dress suits. It reminds me of old Hollywood glam. Wear whatever you want, even a full wedding dress if you want to. You are after all still a bride!

    It's up to you. One can dress as casual in jeans or go all out and wear a wedding gown.
