Couples marrying on November 23rd!

smithwedding, on April 9, 2019 at 2:58 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

Heyyyyyy, we're wedding twins! What are some of the most stressful / least stressful things you've come across while wedding planning? Also, any tips on a bride-to-be with no "start point" set? HELPPPPP.

I’m November 24 and I’ve been planning for a year. I would book a venue ASAP!

Hey Paea! Have you thought about what style of venue you want to have for your wedding? That would be a great place to start!

WeddingWire has a great Wedding Checklist for couples to help them keep on track with their planning, it would probably help you out a lot if you feel like you don't know where to start!

If you are looking to connect with other couples getting married around the same time as you, you could join in this discussion - Who is getting married in 2019? It would be a great place to look for some wedding date twins!

I’m getting married November 23, 2019. Definitely start with a venue and a budget first! My advice is to try to see what’s most important to you and see how much money you’re willing to spend on things to try to keep on budget.

November 23rd is coming fast! I think the most stressful for me would be the food and DJ! I finally found a DJ that fits all my needs. The food, we’re doing a rustic theme wedding, so we’re giving BBQ. We have tasted 6 places, and thank God we found the one last week. We booked the venue since October of last year. The venue includes a lot of stuff, (tables&chairs, table clothes and runners, all floral arrangements and decorations, bartender, all cutlery) therefore I don’t have to worry! They will have two coordinators on side that will take care of everything that day... I think it helps a lot to have someone else do things for you, so you can enjoy your day!
I would say to not worry about it so much, I’m sure whatever you choose will be great and just enjoy the ride!

    Hi Peggy,

Yed, I get that a lot but we haven't found "the one" & it's a little frustrating. Our colors are wine, white & rose gold so we're looking for a ballroom kind of look. The ones we did like & were interested in touring were already booked for our wedding date so it makes things a little more tough. We will definitely keep this in mind!

    Hi Sinéad!

I have been using the wedding checklist on weddingwire & it has helped with coordinating our next moves but it also sucks because I am not familiar with the timeline so we struggled a little with planning / organizing our wedding. lol

    Hi Rochelle,

WOOHOO for being wedding twins! Smiley laugh I've been told to secure a venue ASAP & I see that a lot of brides have their venues secured a year before their actual wedding date. This puts me in a bind because I got engaged earlier this year & by the end of the year, I will be married! We (me fiance & I) often stress on the timeline so we hope to find a venue by the end of this month. Pray for us!

    Hi Marisela,

Ah okay, sounds good. My fiance & I plan to have our older sisters be the floor / wedding coordinators during the ceremony & reception so I mean, that's a start right? lol. I think the reason we've struggled with the venue is because our head count has changed from 100 to 200 to 250 back to 175 etc. but we have finally set a number of guests & will (hopefully) have a venue by the end of the month.

    I appreciate your feedback!
