How is your planning coming along?

View Quoted Comment We have a good chunk done so far. Currently living in mississippi but planning one up north for my family in Indiana. We have a venue/catering booked, pastor, my dress, we know what we want FH and groomsmen to wear. Going north this weekend to visit so we will be doing cake tasting and I'll get to show him the venue I booked for us.

When we were talking cake flavors the other night I just had this feeling of IT'S BECOMING REAL. Like, we talk about our wedding day and what we want all the time. But to actually be going and talking in person with vendors is different. I'm just too geeked for the next 13 months to fly by!

Hi date twin!! So far, I have my dress, and invitations/std's/thank you cards all done. since I'm just doing a ceremony, I have a lot less than normal to do. I am trying to find a venue, and have been emailing like crazy. We do know what we want the best men and maids of honor to wear and hopefully my vision of "simplicity" comes to life! I thought I was ahead of the game but now I'm not so sure LOL! We will be in Vegas in September so we will wander around and get an idea of what we want. Hopefully it helps and doesn't hurt.

Oh man that's crazy awesome!

I see some of you are like me getting things nailed down early. We are getting our big 5 booked ASAP (Day of coordinator, caterer, restrooms, DJ and tent rental). I'm forcing myself to wait on looking at dresses, but the one I want is on sale right now.... And trying to get the save the dates out by October since 95% of our guests are out of town.

So cool!!!! I just found this feed. That's crazy! We just locked down our date with the venue last month. Even though we have just over a year to plan...I still feel so behind!

Everything else is a blur right now. Every time I look at invitations and save the dates I get overwhelmed for some reason. So many choices lol

Yep!!! Planning early. I have to or I will lose my mind! October is our target date for Save the Dates also. We live in Jersey but my family is in California and New Orleans so 100% of my family members will be flying in. Luckily My little brother and My FH's God sister are our DOCs so that's a saved cost.

Nice! When we booked the venue that's when it really got real for me. I even felt super emotional lol. I couldn't explain that to anyone but another bride...I was thinking to myself "am I being ridiculous?"
Enjoy cake tasting!!! So much fun. A close friend of ours is a baker and she is gifting us a cake. I'm so grateful!

View Quoted Comment We did a wedding venue walk through on the 8th and the ceremony space is to die for. 😍 When looking at STDs and invites, it helps to know what you want first then go off that. Thankfully FH is a graphic designer so we're going to skip STDs to save money but do our own invites and have VistaPrint make them.

View Quoted Comment We did cake tasting already and settled on chocolate orange for the cake as well as amaretto with chetry frosting for cupcakes. Standing under the ceremony pavilion gave me butterflies so I understand! So exciting. And tomorrow marks 1 year we've been engaged 😁😁😁

OMG the venue is breath taking!!! All that green ! I feel like I have a vision that doesn't fit my budget when it comes to STD's lol...but they're a must for us because all of my family is out of state so I need to give everyone time to plan.

I was torn between a garden and a waterfront venue...But I fell in love with the waterfront and we went that route.

YUM!!! That sounds delicious! FH is kinda plain when it comes to cake. We settled on Lemon with a lemon cheesecake icing. Still deciding on the rest of the desserts lol
