We just got engaged and January and picked November 14, 2020 as our date. Everything was going so smoothly as far as booking the venue and vendors went. I also got my dress the end of February, but I’m not sure what the order status is since everything shut down in NJ in March. My fiancé is hopeful things will be fine by the fall but I just don’t know. I did email our vendors and venue to ask what the process would be should we need to postpone. They were all extremely accommodating. We won’t make a final decision until July or early August. There are just too many factors to consider and it really takes away from the experience

Hi! I hope we can get married by November! Postponing is not an option for us. We already decided we are getting married no matter what. We are just worry about the money that we already put in this wedding.

We will postpone to april IF our international friends and family aren't allowed to travel here to NZ. My govt is already talking about a "Trans-tasman bubble" and the virus is considered almost eliminated so I am very very hopeful that our wedding can go forward.

I wish my family and friends would stop asking me that as well! It’s like, please stop adding onto my anxiety snowball I got going on at this point. Trying to stay positive until August — at that point I feel like we might have a better understanding of what is going to be coming.

6 months out... where is everyone at??? I have almost everything planned but haven’t been able to do a tasting because of COVID. We are trying to postpone any payments at this point but moving forward as planned! Our state is slowly opening up so I am feeling hopeful!

Feeling hopeful! TX is opening up and is even allowing 25% capacity for wedding venues right now. I'm crossing my fingers that November 14 will be in the sweet spot when cases are low and before a potential second wave. I've come to terms with the fact that this may end up being a social distancing, mask type of wedding. But I have no interest postponing if it can still happen when we have no idea what this virus will do or when a vaccine will be available. I'm ready to start a family with my FH corona be damned!

Our country has eliminated the virus! Feeling super optimistic now! Next month will be the final hurdle to see if our borders will open to Australia (which they should, fingers crossed) and then we're on the home stretch. I'm so thankful and relieved my country took such aggressive action and I can actually start to look forward to my wedding.

Where is everyone at? My grandpa declined to come to my wedding because of Covid. I understand because virus but at the same time I am heartbroken because I am his granddaughter. I wish he had waited to respond until September. We have 36 yes rsvp so far and our goal is 50. I still plan on going as usual but if we keep getting declines we might invite more people...I am just lost at this point and dont want to postpone.

I just got notice my Uncle isn't coming now either when originally was due to COVID too. I understand because i don't want to be responsible for anyone over 65 getting sick and risks but it is still a bummer for sure. I am going to look into zoom to see if that can be done too. My goal was 50 too but I have a feeling more will cancel too since I am in Phoenix which is a current hot spot. I don't want to change the Nov 14 date, but uncertain if I will have to cancel venue. I don't want to but I also don't want to pay for the place if only 10 people show up. I am waiting a few more weeks before calling venue to ask for their recommendation. I don't want to post pone either. I have a feeling none of the out of town guests will come. I am considering just sending out invites saying local people only and if that is the case it will take 50 people down to 12 and only 3 in my family and rest are my fiancé family. I was hoping my family would come but I don't want them to feel obligated and have choice. I am bummed about this virus especially since working in healthcare really is hard right now. Not to mention it has ruined all plans. We won't be going to Hawaii anymore for honey moon due to fiancé not feeling comfortable to fly right now either. I don't want to have stress and not be fun when it is supposed to be relaxing and fun time. I don't particularly want pictures of everyone in masks but I am trying to get used to the idea I guess since that may very well be the case.

My country is covid free now but australia isn't and because I have no faith the travel ban will be lifted in time, we've pretty much decided for sure that we will be postponing to april </3

It sucks but I feel better about the decision overall, having friends and family missing something so important to us just doesn't feel right.

I'm so sorry to all of you in America/other countries who have all of this SO much worse than I do. If anyone needs some moral support feel free to chat with me.
