So, I feel like I’m so far behind 😭 so far I have only booked the venue, and the DJ. I am DIYinf most of the wedding, and I have a caterer in mind but haven’t scheduled the tasting yet. Other than that I haven’t done anything 🤦🏼‍♀️

The venue I chose came with almost everything. Decor, coordinator, food, waiters, cake, and a kid play room w/babysitter. Still in the process of looking for a Dj, the church , and my wedding dress (since I want to drop a few pounds) 😭 In addition, I’m helping my mom with looking for things for the bridal shower and I’m starting to register at places. The stress is starting to pile up!

Wow! Since my last post I have my dress, venue (catering included), photographer, engagement photos finished and STDs have arrived, DJ picked. I will have a florist next week, I've met with my day of coordinator to go over reception set up and day of decor included in my package. I still need my officiant (looking now) and am setting up cake tasting for next month and have my invitations picked out. My catering tasting through my venue is set for March and July and we have narrowed down our Honeymoon location and are between two companies now! I'm metting with my bridesmaids to get measured next month as well. It's been fun! I hope everyone else is having a good time with it!

Hi everyone. Newly engaged (01/24/20) and planning our Nov 14 wedding. Secured the officiant (childhood friend who is a pastor at my church), hair stylist and finalizing venue this week! Excited to plan with and learn from my fellow dare twins!!

Stephanie I’m in same boat. I gained 30 pounds in last year after running injury and steroids from bad asthma in the last year. I’m working to get it back off. Stinks I’ve worked so hard all these years with running and working out and the time it matters before the wedding is when I weigh the most. Smiley sad
Hope we find out perfect dresses though. Cheers to you as well.

I have venue, photographer, caterer, officiant, music, florist, cupcakes and vendor rentals already planned.,

I just have to get make up and hair scheduled to be done.
I hope I’m not forgetting anything but I think I have everything. I don’t have my dress yet or wedding party attire yet nor do I have wedding rings yet. Haven’t planned honey moon but I already have ideas to do. Hope I’m not forgetting anything

You will figure it out. Just pick out venue first and then do each one by one and you will get it done no worries. Recruit help if you need it.

I believe we’ve secured the big 4: venue booked, photographer hired, DJ hired, and I think we’ve settled on a caterer. Pricing from a few were about the same so I think I’m picking the person who was the friendliest during the estimating phase. But of course I’m second guessing everything.

I struggle to spend money on myself - I have no problem spending for others but just me. So struggling not to cancel plans that I really want because of this stupid lingering issue. Ugh.
    Anyone else struggle with that?

We have all main things booked— officiant, venue (includes catering), dj, photographer, florist, and my dress. Luckily these were all taken care of before the corona-chaos! Still need to get groom and wedding party’s attire, cake, invitations, and set up hair/makeup!

I'm feeling a little stressed, all my main vendors etc are booked and I don't have much buying left to do, but I'm worried about the implications of the virus. I'm trying to stay confident that this will be long over by November but there's a bunch of people flying in from another country and where I live the borders are totally closed and probably won't be fully open for a long time to come. So I think I may be facing postponement since I don't want those people missing out (and my best friend is bridal party and he wouldn't be able to come) is anyone else considering postponing?

Nice to meet you all! I thought it would be the summer of #coronavirusrecovery but now I’m worried about the Fall Smiley sad 11/14/2020!

I have all the majors booked. I just need guest hotel, bridal party attire, grooms attire, alterations, and cake and I’m squared away. I kinda did an AliExpress/Amazon blitz due to being cooped up indoors and killed my credit card Smiley amazing But at least now I have a bunch of DIY to do? Yay?

I have my dress picked it just needs alterations. I have the venue, dj, photographer, and baker picked. I tried to book my makeup person but she wants to wait until last August. I feel like I have nothing done. My Bachelorette trip got cancelled. I feel like I honestly have so much more to do.

Hi Alexis - I’m not actively considering postponing but I’ve chatted with my VIPs and told them that if things aren’t back to normal, we would postpone. I know some may go ahead with a virtual wedding or something similar (I actually “attended” one via Facebook live last week) but it’s just not for us. It is too important to me that my family and friends are present. So we’d wait. I pray we won’t have too and are thankful that all guests are within driving distance (even though several are out of state but within a day or less drive). I pray it’s back to normal by then - it’s scary to think about what it means if it’s not.

I agree Michelle. I am probably going to postpone to April next year if the situation isn't looking good by end of August. Im with you hoping everything is back to normal by then. It just sucks to have such a big raincloud over the planning process, which is such a first world problem I know, but something none of us could never have imagined!
